National Halal Roadshow 2008 - Johor

The National Halal Roadshow is a collaboration between major stakeholders in the Halal Industry comprising of HDC, MECD, SMIDEC, JAKIM and Standards Malaysia. The first collaboration will kick off at Persada Covention Center, Johor Baru from 17-18 Jun, 2008.

The Roadshow will encompass seminar, business matching for sme's , exhibition of halal products and network building among the halal producers. Each stakeholders will present their program to the local participants and provide linkages between them. The industry players are also invited to display their products and provide business matching with the hypermarkets.

The National Halal Roadshow will be part of HDC joint program with other stakeholders in the Halal Industry with the objectives

(1) to create awareness about the Halal Industry,

(2) working together with enterpreneurs in the industry to faciliate their capacity development,

(3) promoting incentives provide by the various government agencies in the halal industry,

(4) providing linkages between halal industry players and

(5) business matching for the industry players.

This will provide opportunity for the Halal players to interact and building linkages in the Halal Industry.
