1. What is the Halal Parks ?
Halal Parks are designated areas where the manafacturing, processing, warehousing, branding and other activities related to the production of halal products (food & non food items) together with logicstics and services. The parks should be properly management with facilities in relation to certification, standards, training, manpower, laboratory facilities, R&D, waste management and access to raw materials & ingredients for production.
These parks must of sufficient size and production capacity to justify the facilities and amneities available in the area. Some parks are smaller in size for facilitate the SME's, some ar slightly bigger for anchor tenants to produce their products while other the bigger to facilitate FDI and local investors to participate in these dedicated areas.
Incentives will be provided for companies operating in the parks to assist them in the Halal Industry.
2. Why is the need for the Halal Parks ?
Halal Parks are required to facilitate the development of Halal Industry. By having the Halal Parks, the operators will be place together in a designated area where the various services dan facilities in relation to the production of halal products and halal food would be in the same area.
Facilities such a "one-stop-center" to assist the halal operators in the area of determining standards, halal certification, training in the halal industry and auditing, dealing with various local authorities and agencies related to the halal industry, man power, amnetities and waste management facilities are all in place.
Incentives will also be provided for operators in the park to facilitate its futher growth for capacity development. Assistance in terms of market intelligence and marketing of the Halal products.
3. Who will manage the Halal Parks ?
Halal Parks will be manage by its owner or developer. Main stakeholders of the Halal Parks are the various Federal and State Development agencies, while the private own Halal Parks will be manage by their respectives companies with collaboration and guidelines provided by the Halal Industry Developmen Corporation.
4. Where are the current Halal Parks located ?
All the States are developing the Halal Parks. Currently about 20 Halal Parks have been listed but there are at different stage of development.

5. When can the Halal Parks operate ?
Only 4 are currently operational, namely (1) PKFZ Halal Flagship at Pulau Indah, (2) Selangor Halal Hub at Pulau Indah, (3) Serkam Halal Park at Melaka and (4) Pedas Halal Park at Negri Sembilan.
The rest are still in the planning and developmental stages.
6. How to operate in the Halal Parks ?
